AMFI Code of Conduct
Last updated: 21 July 2026
AGM Wealth, as an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor (ARN-124172), operates strictly within the Code of Conduct for Mutual Fund Distributors issued by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), most recently revised in April 2022.
What This Means for You
In practical terms, the Code requires us to commit to the following in every client interaction:
- Fiduciary duty: We are required to treat your interests as paramount, exercise due diligence, and use independent professional judgment in your best interest.
- Full disclosure: We disclose our commission structure transparently — see our Commission Disclosures page.
- Suitability: We assess your financial status, investment experience, and objectives before recommending any scheme.
- No advisory overreach: As a distributor (not a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser), our role is to facilitate access to and execution of mutual fund and other distribution products — not to provide investment advisory services. We are careful never to represent otherwise.
- AMC-approved material only: We use scheme information as provided by AMCs and do not create misleading marketing material of our own.
- KYC and IPV diligence: We follow AMFI/KRA-prescribed norms for KYC and in-person verification.
- Grievance redressal: We maintain a clear escalation path for complaints — see our Grievance Redressal page.
Regulatory Oversight
Our conduct as an MFD is monitored by AMCs and by AMFI's Standing Committee on Certified Distributors (the "ARN Committee"), which reviews investor complaints and can recommend disciplinary action for breaches of this Code — ranging from a warning to permanent debarment from mutual fund distribution.
This page is a summary for investor convenience and does not replace or modify the official AMFI Code of Conduct, which governs in the event of any inconsistency.
